In 2021, Preity Zinta and her husband, Gene Goodenough, welcomed their twins, Jai and Gia, through surrogacy, and the actress disclosed that she tried IVF treatment before choosing surrogacy. Speaking to Vogue India, when Preity was asked how she copes to keep an upbeat/positive public persona in difficult times, the actress was always vocal about the emotional struggles she experienced along the way with her IVF journey!

The famous director and choreographer became the mother of triplets, two daughters and a son, in 2008 from IVF at age 43. She has been very open about her choice and has encouraged women to consider IVF as a safe and valid choice.

According to The Hindu, Ekta Kapoor welcomed her son, Ravie Kapoor, through surrogacy after undergoing multiple unsuccessful IVF cycles and unsuccessful attempts at conceiving naturally. Utilizing her egg and donor sperm, she opted for surrogacy to achieve her goal of becoming a single mother.

Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra became parents to their daughter, Samisha, through surrogacy in 2020, after welcoming their first child, Viaan, naturally. In interviews, Shilpa has revealed that her decision to pursue IVF and later surrogacy stemmed from being diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called APLA, which caused multiple miscarriages. The couple waited several years before turning to surrogacy, according to the Hindustan Times.
