The year 2018 was one helluva year! Apart from some out-of-the-box blockbuster movies, the year also saw some extravagant surprise weddings in Bollywood. The industry also bid adieu to some popular and well-known celebrity actors. However, on the brighter side, it was a ray of sunshine for many others as they welcomed a new life into this world. Yes, we are talking about Bollywood celebrities who welcomed their newborns this year.

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput, who are proud parents to their baby girl ‘Misha’, experienced the joy once again with their second child, a baby boy they named ‘Zain’. Zain was born on September 6. After announcing the name of their baby boy officially on social media, Mira shared the first picture of him.

Shahid and Mira had announced their second pregnancy in the most unique manner. Sharing a picture of Misha on the social media, Shahid wrote, ‘Big Sister’ on it.

Shahid’s mother Neelima Azim reportedly revealed that the names, ‘Misha’ and ‘Zain’, were pre-decided even before the birth of Misha. As a daughter was born, they had named her Misha and now that their son has arrived, they kept the name they decided for him.

Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi surprised all their fans by getting married in a private Anand Karaj ceremony. Though rumours were rife that Neha was pregnant at the time of her marriage, the couple never confirmed the same.

Neha gave birth to a baby daughter on November 18 and later revealed that they named their little angel ‘Mehr Dhupia Bedi’. Sharing a glimpse of her baby girl on the social media, she captioned it as, ‘Mehr Dhupia Bedi says hello to the world ... ❤️’

She recently also celebrated one month of the birth of Mehr by sharing a boomerang video on her social media, captioning it as, ‘Our baby girl ... been spreading joy and kickin around for a month ... ������ #happyonemonth our little Mehr ... �� @angadbedi’

Rohit Dhawan, director and elder brother of Varun Dhawan, became a proud father on May 29 this year after his wife Jaanvi delivered a baby girl on May 29 this year. While the entire Dhawan family were super excited to welcome their angel, it was Varun Dahwan who introduced us to his darling niece in the sweetest way possible.

The actor shared a picture of the entire Dhawan family dressed in No 1-themed t-shirts while new mother Jaanvi cradled the baby in her hand. Varun Dhawan had a t-shirt bearing ‘Chachu No.1’ at its front.

Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber surprised everyone when they adopted a 21-months-old baby girl from Latur district of Maharashtra. While the three looked like a perfect little family, Sunny and Daniel clearly had some other plans in mind.

The couple surprised their fans once again by announcing the arrival of their two more kids. Sunny and Danel reportedly welcomed their twins via surrogacy. The couple named their bundle of joys - Asher Singh Weber and Noah Singh Weber.

Sharing a perfect family picture, Sunny captioned it as, ‘God’s Plan!! June 21st, 2017 was the day @dirrty99 and I found out that we might possible be having 3children within a short amount of time. We planned and tried to have a family and after so many years our family is now complete with Asher Singh Weber, Noah Singh Weber and Nisha Kaur Weber. Our boys were born a few weeks ago but were alive in our hearts and eyes for many years. God planned something so special for us and gave us a large family. We are both the proud parents of three beautiful children. Surprise everyone!’

Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor and wife Pragya joined the bandwagon of celebrities who welcomed their newborns. Pragya delivered their second child this year on August 28. They have reportedly named their kid ‘Shamsher’. Abhishek and Pragya already have a son named Isana.

Sharing the news on his social media handle, he wrote, ‘I started my career as an actor and did a number of movies as a leading man.. many of them didnt even see the light of day and the ones that did, failed miserably. Then i wrote a story called Aryan and made a shift to direction. That movie didnt succeed either.. i went back to work and made another movie which many thought would barely make a mark…On the 28 th of August 2008, exactly 10 yrs ago, that movie, #rockon !! premiered and went on to succeed like no other that year and won 2 national awards.. i had finally got my head out of the water and could breathe.. Today, exactly 10 yrs later to mark a #decade , my wife and I have been blessed with a baby boy. His mother is the strongest and most secure person i know. She came into my life cause a higher power willed it so and no one could have given me a better gift to mark this momentous day..The ease with which our son has entered this world carried the same confidence his mother has.. like a lion.. infact he is a 1st amongst lions. Shreyas Talpade and Deepti have been married for 14-long years. The beautiful couple finally welcomed their newborn on May 4 this year. Their bundle of joy was born from surrogacy. Shreyas and Deepti have named their angel, ‘Aadya’ which means mother earth.

In an interview earlier, Shreyas has revealed that the couple was having certain issues and so the doctor advised them to opt for surrogacy. Speaking about the same, Shreyas told Mumbai Mirror, “I was to start shooting from May 15 but luckily for me, the shoot has been pushed to June, so I’ve got a month to focus on my baby. I’ve always wanted a daughter, so I could buy her dolls, teddy bears and plenty of pretty dresses.”

Gul Panag surprised her fans when she took to her social media handle to share the first glimpse of his son ‘Nihal’ in August this year and he was already six-months-old. The actress and her husband managed to keep their pregnancy secret all this while in order to get some privacy.

Speaking about it, she told Mumbai Mirror, “Rishi and I have always valued our privacy. Becoming parents is a special experience and we decided that we’d like to go through it without the distraction of public attention. Family and close friends knew about Nihal but we refrained from posting anything on the social media. He is almost six months old and it has been a roller coaster ride! I’m charmed by his gurgles and giggles even if it is a bit of a struggle with erratic sleep and feeding schedules. Life and goals are taking shape parallelly, with a little more coordination between Rishi and me to include Nihal.”

Singer Sunidhi Chauhan and husband Hitesh Sonik welcomed their first baby boy on January 1 of this year. The couple have named their munchkin ‘Tegh’. The singer’s father had reportedly revealed earlier that she was apparently wishing for a girl.

Introducing her little man to her fans through her social media handle, she shared a picture of herself with Tegh and captioned it as, ‘Ready for my first gig as a mom’

Speaking about her pregnancy, Sunidhi had reportedly said that every girl in the world goes through this and she is one of them. Stating that her first and last love is her singing, she added that she will take care of both and make sure she is at peace with herself.
