'Bhool Bhulaiyaa abhi bhi adhoori hai': Rajpal Yadav demands Chhota Pandit vs Manjulika face-off in Priyadarshan film

Rajpal Yadav has said the 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' universe still has an unfinished story, and he wants Chhota Pandit to come face-to-face with Manjulika. The actor, who remains closely linked to the horror-comedy franchise through his colorful character, said the first film still stays with him because of its psychological twist and Vidya Balan’s performance. He also shared why he believes Chhota Pandit’s journey has not reached its full stop yet.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rajpal spoke about the horror film that left a strong impact on him. He picked 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' and recalled how the film worked beyond regular scares.



He said, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1, woh psychological joh tha usme Vidya Balan jab peheli mein jab hamara role to tha hi” (Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1, the psychological element in it, Vidya Balan in the first part, and of course I had a role in it).

Rajpal said the film still surprises him after repeated viewings. “Lekin woh film mein genuinely kuch cheezein kuch current aisa tha ki woh film jitni baar dekhi, woh film waise toh bahut saari film dekhi hain lekin Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1 abhi bhi lagta hai ki woh bahut zyada bolte hai na reel is illusion of reality” (But there were genuinely some things in that film, something current, that no matter how many times I watched it, and I have watched many films, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 1 still feels like what people say, reel is illusion of reality).

Rajpal Yadav on Chhota Pandit vs Manjulika

Rajpal then said the franchise still has room for a Chhota Pandit and Manjulika track. “Abhi bhi film mujhe lagta hai ki Bhool Bhulaiyaa abhi bhi adhoori hai” (Even now, I feel Bhool Bhulaiyaa is still incomplete), he said.

He explained, “Kyunki akele Pandit ne Manjulika dekhi hai, chhote Pandit ne pehli mein aur tab se rang-biranga ghoom raha hai aur mila abhi tak nahi hai Manjulika se” (Because only Pandit has seen Manjulika, Chhota Pandit saw her in the first part and has been roaming around colorful since then, but has still not met Manjulika).

Rajpal added that a proper 'Chhota Pandit vs Manjulika' story could take the franchise in a different direction. The actor was last seen in 'Bhooth Bangla' with Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan. He will next appear in 'Welcome to the Jungle' and is reportedly part of Salman Khan’s untitled film with Dil Raju.
