Aryan Khan to Rhea Chakraborty – Celebrities embroiled in drugs controversy
Since the past one year several Bollywood celebrities have been questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for their alleged connection in separate drugs cases. While Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan was detained by the investigating, previously, Rhea Chakrabroty was jailed for a month in a drugs probe. Here’s taking a look at some prominent celebrities who hit headlines for their tryst with the NCB and banned substances.
Armaan Kohli
The Narcotics Control Bureau had arrested Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli in August this year for alleged possession of drugs. During a raid at Armaan’s Andheri residence, the investigating agency had found 1.2 grams of cocaine. He was charged under the NDPS act for procurement, possession, sale purchase transport and illicit trafficking and harbouring offenders.
Aryan Khan
Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 3 for consumption of illegal drugs. Sources close to the investigation have revealed that Aryan was charged under sections 8C, 20B, 27 and 35 of the NDPS act. According to sources, the NCB officials will scan Aryan Khan's mobile phone to check for traces of his direct involvement in the possession or consumption of drugs.

Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa
ComedianBharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa were arrested by the NarcoticControl Bureau (NCB) last year for possession of 86.5 grams of Cannabis. An NCBpress release stated, “In the follow up and in corroboration with previousinputs in the (FIR no 16) the NCB raided two other places on Saturday includingproduction office and comedian Bharti Singh’s residence and from both theplaces 86.5 gms of ganja was recovered. Both Bharti Singh and her husband HaarshLimbachiya accepted the consumption of Ganja. Bharti Singh has been placedunder arrest under the provisions of NDPS Act 1986 and examination of HaarshLimbachiya involvement is underway.” The couple was later granted bail in thecase in a couple of days.

Rhea Chakraborty
Rhea Chakraborty is currently out on bail after she was arrested last year on drugs-related charges. The actress was reportedly booked under Sections 8 (c) read with section 20 (b) (ii), 22, 27A, 28, 29 and 30 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. This imposes punishment against possession, sale, purchase, transport or import of cannabis and psychotropic substances along with financing illicit traffic and harbouring offenders as well as abetment and criminal conspiracy, attempt and preparation of committing an offence. After spending 28 days in Byculla jail, the actress was released on personal bond of Rs 1 lakh.
