Anup Soni recalls sharing screen space with With Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty in 'Hathyar'
Anup Soni on Friday night took a trip down memory lane and shared a nostalgic moment from one of his most memorable films, 'Hathyar'.
Taking to his social media account, the actor posted a clip featuring himself from the 2002 crime drama.
He also reflected on how the film gave him an opportunity to step out of his comfort zone and portray a character unlike anything he had played before.
In the clip shared by Anup, the actor can be seen in a rugged and intense avatar,
Sharing the video, Anup wrote, "Even today, nothing excites me more than stepping into a character that is unlike anything I have done before. Hathyar gave me the chance to play a character that was very different from the image people associated me with at the time.

He added, "The language, the attitude and the unpredictability of the character were all far removed from who I was, which made the experience both challenging and exciting."
He further wrote, "Sharing screen space with Sanjay Dutt, Sachin Khedekar, Gulshan Grover, Shilpa Shetty and Sharad Kapoor, under Mahesh Manjrekar's direction, made the journey even more memorable. Looking back, what I value most is the opportunity to explore different worlds and different shades of people through the characters I play. Enjoy scene from Hathyar."
Talking about the movie, it was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and released in 2002. The film starred Sanjay Dutt in the lead role alongside Shilpa Shetty, Sharad Kapoor, Sachin Khedekar, Gulshan Grover and Anup Soni.
'Hathyar', for the uninitiated, explored the dark and violent world of crime, power struggles and family conflicts.
