While Nanda is known for focusing heavily on completing her education, there are a lot of aspects of her life that are extremly note worthy. She comes from one of the most renowned families in the country and is the granddaughter of one of the biggest actors of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan; however, she has stayed away from her family’s life of stardom and has instead focused on creating her own path.Over the years, she has even explained on multiple occasions as to why she chose to keep away from her family’s work in the entertainment industry. In an old interview while talking to Mojo Story, she revealed that she had never felt like it was the right career path for her. Explaining more on the matter at the time she had added that, “No, never. I always get asked this... and I don't know why. I feel like I was always raised in a way that my parents told me that don't do something if you're not 100% passionate or confident, or it's something that you really want to do. It was never something that I wanted to do. I was always fascinated by tractors, my dad and what he was doing. And when he'd come back from work, I'd talk to him about it. That to me was far more exciting.”
In another interview with CNBC TV 18, she had cited that she was more interested in her father’s work as an industrialist. She had stated that “I’ve grown up in Delhi, I grew up around my father and my grandfather who are businessmen and industrialists. I think for me that’s what I saw more of growing up as a kid. I wasn’t around sets or films and glamour growing up. It was very much the stock markets and my father coming back and talking to me about tractors, which is what we do. That for me is where the passion lies.”
Outside of her educational background, Nanda has worked on a lot of other projects. This includes her startups, called Project Naveli, which was set up by her for promoting gender equality and providing help to those who need it. Her non-profit organization has been quite successful over the past couple of years. She is also the co-founder of a popular health tech brand that is heavily focused on women and helping them with their issues and problems.
Along with her mother and her grandmother, Jaya Bachchan, she also manages her very own podcast called ‘What The Hell Navya.’
Over the course of the past couple of years, Nanda has proven that she can do it all, regardless of her name.
