Who is Medha Rana?
Medha Rana is the newest face to join the cast of the upcoming war epic ‘Border 2’, where she will be seen opposite Varun Dhawan. The film also features Sunny Deol, Ahan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Mona Singh, Anya Singh and Sonam Bajwa, making it one of the most talked-about multi-starrer projects in recent times.
Army roots and early life
Born on December 25, 1999, in Gurgaon, Medha grew up in a disciplined environment due to her father’s service in the Indian Army. Her schooling began at Carmel Convent School in Chandigarh, followed by Army Public School in Bengaluru after her family relocated. She later completed her BBA from Christ University and began modelling at just 16.
Her role in ‘Border 2’ with Varun Dhawan
In ‘Border 2’, Medha is paired opposite Varun Dhawan, who is over 12 years older than her in real life. The teaser shows the duo in uniform, saluting with intense expressions. Varun essays the role of Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, a Param Vir Chakra awardee for his bravery during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
From advertisements to acting debut
Before entering films, Medha featured in commercials for brands like Ponds, Cadbury and Nescafe. She made her acting debut with the 2022 crime thriller web series ‘London Files’, co-starring Arjun Rampal. In 2023, she stepped into films with Netflix’s ‘Friday Night Plan’, where she was paired opposite Babil Khan.
