Aamir Khan-Yash, Ajay Devgn-Tiger Shroff, Prabhas-Akshay Kumar: 5 most anticipated box-office clashes of 2022

The joy and experience of watching films in theatres is back and so is the thrill of stars locking horns at the box-office. After being stalled for months, filmmakers huddled in to book their release slots and ended up locking the same release dates for their films. So we will be witnessing some mega-starrer films clashing at the box-office this year. From Aamir Khan-Yash, Ajay Devgn-Tiger Shroff to Prabhas-Akshay Kumar, here are actors who are all set for a face-off!

After much ado, the makers of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Bachchan Pandey’ recently announced that they will be releasing the film in the theatres on March 18. It also stars Kriti Sanon and Arshad Warsi in lead roles. The Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor starrer ‘Shamshera’ also has its eyes on the same release date. If this was not enough, the makers of ‘RRR’ have also announced that if the theatres open to full capacity, they might release the film on March 18. But if not, then they would reconsider the release date yet again.

April is also going to see some big clashes at the box-office. While on one side there is the Aamir Khan starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, on the other side, there is Yash starrer ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ also stars Kareena Kapoor and Naga Chaitanya in key roles. ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, on the other hand, also stars Raveena Tandon and Sanjay Dutt in pivotal roles. Both the movies are two of the most awaited movies of the year.

‘Runway 34’ starring Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh and Amitabh Bachchan is all set to hit the theatres on April 29, 2022. The film also features Boman Irani, Carry Minati, Aakanksha Singh in supporting roles. Clashing with it at the box-office is Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Heropanti 2’. The film will also star Tara Sutaria and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead roles.

After clashing with Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar is all set to lock horns with Prabhas at the box-office. Akshay’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ with Bhumi Pednekar and Prabhas’ ‘Aadipurush’ with Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan have both opted for the same release date. They are both releasing on August 11, 2022. ‘Aadipurush’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’ are two of the most anticipated films of this year.

Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Ganapath: Part 1’ will be hitting the theatres on December 23 this year. However, unfortunately Sriram Raghavan’s Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi starrer ‘Merry Christmas’ has also chosen the same date for its release.
