A far cry from glitzy, glamorous and often over the top Bollywood couples, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are one of the most real, no-frill and down to earth B-town couples. The duo, who dated for a couple of years before tying the knot in 2021, never spoke about their relationship prior, and interestingly, were never even photographed together before they made it official. Katrina in an interview, said that her husband calls her his 'panic button' because she always gets so worked up on each and every small thing. On the other hand, he, being a true blue Punjabi, often tells her, 'shaanti shaanti, sab theek hoga, tension mat lo'. (Don't stress, all will be well). While acknowledging that the two are quite opposite to each other, Katrina said that in a way it a good thing, because they balance each other out and are a good match.

Unlike many others who build up an unrealistic depiction of their relationship on social media, Vicky Kaushal in an interview recently admitted that he is not a 'perfect' husband and is flawed. He went on to say that he always tries to meet everyone's expectations, but is human too, and invariably falls short. He, in the same interaction also said that he needs to thank his wife Katrina for being the most understanding partner and a truly compassionate soul.

While Katrina and Vicky might have bonded on an organic level, their families however, could not be more different from each other. While Katrina grew all over the world, Vicky is a true blue Punjabi with roots steeped deep into his culture. Inspite that, the two families have blended beautifully well together. Katrina has gone on record to say that she is blessed with the sweetest in-laws, who lovingly call her 'Kitto'. Vicky too, often shares posts with his mother-in-law and is close to Katrina's siblings.

Vicky, who often calls his marriage 'paranthas weds pancakes', says that it is one of the most strong pillars of our society. At a media promotion for his movie Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Vicky was quizzed on his marriage with Katrina and he was quick to retort that he is now booked for life, no questions asked. He also went on to add that with a right partner like Katrina by one's side, he would strongly advocate marriage to all, provided they believe in the institution.

Both Vicky and Katrina seemed to have mastered the mantra to a happy marriage. When Katrina appeared on Koffee With Karan, she said that the key to a happy marriage is finding happiness within your own self first, before you reach out to your partner. On the other hand, Vicky has always maintained that Katrina is like a mirror to him, who shows him his real side, sans pretence. He also added that she really grounds him as a person.
