Akshay Kumar,
Suniel Shetty and
Paresh Rawal starrer 'Hera Pheri' is one of the successful franchises in the
Hindi film industry. The film is touted to be one of the best comedies and fans still remember it for its quirky kidnapping plot, Paresh’s funny landlord avatar and Akshay-Suniel’s camaraderie was the perfect recipe for a hit.
Today, the film has completed 20 years and Suniel, who played the character of Shyam has wrote a heartfelt note for the same.
Taking to his Instagram account, Suniel wrote, “20 years and the love keeps pouring in... memories that will last a lifetime! #pareshji #herapheri @akshaykumar”
Soon after he shared the post, actor
Arjun Kapoor was quick to drop a comment on it. He wrote a Suniel’s dialogue from the film, “Babbu bhaiya yeh Raju ke wajah se Bannu ki shaadi kabhi nahi hogi babu bhaiya !!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🙏🤣🤣🤣🙌🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥🔥🤗🤗🤗👏👏🙏🙏🙏🤣🤣🤣🤣”
He later commented again and wrote, “My childhood in one film.” We totally relate to Arjun’s comment here! This film has made our childhood awesome.
Priyadarshan said he was not confident about making an action movie so he decided to go ahead with the script of 'Hera Pheri', a remake of Malayalam movie 'Ramji Rao Speaking' by Siddique and Lal. Priyadarshan told in an interview, "I was extremely confident that it will work. I appreciate Suniel Shetty, who believed this film will be cult. It is not that Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal didn't have the confidence but he (Suniel) was more confident. Even after another 10 years or more, you can relive this film because humour can never die.”
