‘Tu Yaa Main’ box office collection day 9: Shanaya Kapoor’s film earns Rs 38 lakhs on its second Saturday

The film ended its first week run with an overall earnings of around Rs 5.03 crore, according to Sacnilk. While day 8’s collection stood at Rs 20 lakhs, there was a little rise in earnings for the drama thriller film on day 9, with Rs 38 lakhs. The numbers rose by 62% altogether. ‘Tu Yaa Main’ remained as one of the lowest-earning box office films as it began its second week run. The film, which is based on the 2018 Thai-language film ‘The Pool,’ was praised by the critic for its direction by none other than Bejoy Nambiar, who has also worked on projects such as ‘Shaitaan’, ‘David’, and ‘Wazir.’ The review read that the film remained watchable due to Nambiar’s “sharp, inventive handling of the material.”

It further stated that “The film opens strongly, painting the contrasting worlds of its leads with care. Rain-washed Mumbai provides a textured backdrop, and the evolving relationship between the two feels natural.”
