‘Ek Chatur Naar’ box office collection day 1: Divya Khosla, Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer mints Rs 50 lakh on its opening day
This Friday, Divya Khosla and Neil Nitin Mukesh’s film ‘Ek Chatur Naar’ made it to the big screen. Directed by Umesh Shukla, the movie had a slow start with only Rs 50 lakhs in collection on the opening day, according to industry tracker Sacnilk’s report. This black comedy thriller faces competition from other Bollywood and Hollywood releases that have maintained a strong hold at the box office. However, with the weekend around, it would be interesting to see the box office dynamics change.
Further, the movie showed widely across major cities, and had the highest occupancy in Hyderabad - 39.25%. It was followed closely by Chennai with 35.50% occupancy. Further, if we talk about Delhi and Mumbai, the cities saw 29.25% and 17.50% occupancy, respectively.

Set in a small town, ‘Ek Chatur Naar’ is a dark comedy. It tells the tale of a naive yet sharp woman who knows every trick in the book to get her work done. It is packed with drama, humour, and thrill.‘Ek Chatur Naar’ review
Etimes gave the movie 3 out of five stars. An excerpt from our review reads - “Director Umesh Shukla’s caper is proof that comedies needn’t always be rib-tickling to hold attention. Ek Chatur Naar is irreverent, clever, and consistently entertaining. From Mamta’s trick of staying rent-free in her shanty by outsmarting the landlord to constantly keeping a step ahead in the cat-and-mouse chase with a powerful scamster, the film makes for a delightful watch. Twists and turns keep rolling in, maintaining interest throughout. At 134 minutes, the pace rarely slackens, and the film captures the streets of Lucknow, its slums, and its grime with gritty authenticity.”end of article
