‘Ek Chatur Naar’ box office collection day 1: Divya Khosla, Neil Nitin Mukesh starrer mints Rs 50 lakh on its opening day

This Friday, Divya Khosla and Neil Nitin Mukesh’s film ‘Ek Chatur Naar’ made it to the big screen. Directed by Umesh Shukla, the movie had a slow start with only Rs 50 lakhs in collection on the opening day, according to industry tracker Sacnilk’s report. This black comedy thriller faces competition from other Bollywood and Hollywood releases that have maintained a strong hold at the box office. Released on September 12, Friday, ‘Ek Chatur Naar’ recorded an overall occupancy of 22.74% on day 1. It was a moderate start for the movie, with 16.66% occupancy in the morning shows, which rose in subsequent shows. It edged past 22% in the afternoon shows. Later in the evening and night shows saw 20.87% and 30.71% occupancy, respectively.



Further, the movie showed widely across major cities, and had the highest occupancy in Hyderabad - 39.25%. It was followed closely by Chennai with 35.50% occupancy. Further, if we talk about Delhi and Mumbai, the cities saw 29.25% and 17.50% occupancy, respectively.
