'Dhurandhar' to surpass week 1 collections

The strong Tuesday push has taken the film’s second-week net total to Rs 204 crore, making ‘Dhurandhar’ the only Hindi film to cross the Rs 200 crore net mark in its second week. Notably, the milestone was achieved in just five days of its Week 2 run, thus cementing its place as one of the biggest box office performers in recent times.

Keeping consistent momentum at the ticket counters, trade watchers believe the film could end its second week ahead of its first-week numbers. ‘Dhurandhar’ had earned Rs 207.25 crore net in its opening week, a figure it is now close to surpassing on Wednesday with still one more day to go before it wraps up the second week.

'Dhurandhar' all-India gross collections

After 12 days in theatres, the film has amassed an estimated Rs 411.25 crore India net. On the gross front, the film has surged to approximately Rs 493.5 crore, and is widely expected to cross the Rs 500 crore mark in India on Wednesday.

'Dhurandhar' producers share box office numbers

The producers of the film released their final Day 12 numbers, that indicate that the film surpassed its second Monday collections and earned an estimated Rs 32.10 crore on Tuesday. This helped boost the box office business to an estimated total of Rs 428.50 crore.

'Dhurandhar' worldwide box office

The film that crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the international box office, now boasts of a total collection of Rs 130 crore. This in turn has pushed the worldwide box office collection to an estimated Rs 623.5 crore.

‘Dhurandhar’ has emerged as a historic box office blockbuster, becoming the highest-grossing film of Ranveer's career with a staggering total surpassing the Rs 600 crore mark. The film has also set a new benchmark for director Dhar, marking his biggest commercial success to date. Notably, ‘Dhurandhar’ is the only Indian film with an opening weekend of over Rs 100 crore to record a jump in collections during its second weekend. 'Dhurandhar' continues to show an upward trend at the domestic box office. Following a series of record-breaking daily collections in its second week, the film delivered the biggest second Tuesday by a margin that is nearly double that of previous releases.

‘Dhurandhar’ also broke the record previously held by ‘Pushpa 2 - The Rule’, starring Allu Arjun, which had collected Rs 196 crore net in its second week. The film managed to surpass this record in just five days.

'Dhurandhar' will have two more days to enjoy an undisputed run at the box office. The film will soon face competition this weekend with the release of the Hollywood film 'Avatar: Fire and Ash'. The James Cameron directorial is set to have a wide IMAX release in cinemas on Friday, in multiple Indian languages. With early box office predictions setting the film up for a Rs 30 crore opening, it could pose as a huge competitor to 'Dhurandhar'. However, it must be noted that while the Ranveer starrer has been drawing in the Hindi audience, 'Avatar' is predominantly attracting audiences for its English shows.

Packed Christmas week at the box office

While 'Dhurandhar' manged to rake in the big bucks without a holiday or extended weekend, it will look forward to boosting its numbers over the Christmas break. The film, however, will face stiff competition with 'Avatar: Fire and Ash' also hoping to cash in on the holiday. However, both films will face added pressure from the new rom-com 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' which stars Ananya Panday and Kartik Aaryan.
