Chulbul will not break Tiger's box-office record

Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola takes faltering steps in the first weekend
Chulbul will not break Tiger's box-office record
"January 2013 has started poorly, says distributor Girish Johar, adding, Films have been crashing left, right and centre.
Of the four films that released on January 4, three Dehraadun Diary, Meri Shadi Karao and Rajdhani Express are disasters. The fourth, Table No. 21, managed to hold its head above the water for around four days and will settle down to being a safe bet.

This weeks new entry, Vishal Bhardwajs Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola, has had an average weekend. Expectations from this Pankaj Kapur-Imran Khan-Anushka Sharma comedy were high. However, the audience hasnt been enraptured by it. Another interesting fact is that Dabangg 2collections came to a virtual trickle. Its lifetime box-office collection in India will stand under 150 cr.
Chulbul Pandey beat Tiger Khan in the initial phase, but Tiger (Ek Tha Tiger) will continue to hold the record of being Salman Khans biggest hit. Also, what is truly interesting is that while Aamir Khans box-office record of 202 cr for 3 Idiotsstands unchallenged to date, Salman has the distinction of the three fastest centuries in the history of the Bollywood box office.
His Ek Tha Tiger completed a century in six days, Bodyguarddid it in seven days and Dabangg 2 achieved the feat in eight days. So, look at it anyway, Salman Khan still continues to be the box-office scorcher of all time.
