Bad Newz box office collection: Vicky Kaushal starrer earns Rs 75 lakh on Saturday

Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri starrer Bad Newz, which revolves around heteropaternal superfecundation, seems to have run its due course at the box office within three weeks. But during the fourth weekend, the film is showing resilience with a decent collection.

After a good start, Bad Newz managed to cross the Rs 60 crore mark only in the third week. Its third week collection stood at Rs 4.55 crore which was a near 67 percent drop from its second week collection of Rs 14.15 crore.

On its fourth Friday, Bad Newz earned Rs 49 lakh and on Saturday, the collection jumped to Rs 75 lakh, as per early estimates by Sacnilk. The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 62.79 crore. Bad Newz has become the fourth biggest hit of Vicky’s career after Uri: The Surgical Strike, Sam Bahadur and Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The future prospects of Bad Newz will be significantly impacted with the release of Stree 2, Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa, which arrive on August 15.


Vicky will soon be seen in Chhava, directed by Laxman Utekar and backed by Dinesh Vijan - a biopic on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj with Rashmika Mandanna playing his wife. Post which, he will be working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. On the other hand, Ammy Virk will be seen in Akshay Kumar led Khel Khel Mein and Triptii’s next release is the highly anticipated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
