'Nayan Ne Bandh Rakhine'

One of the most played songs in Gujarati households, sung by Manhar Udhas came out in 2014. Since then the song has mesmerized both, youth and old alike. The song is basically a ghazal and is released under the album Aafrin, Vol. 1. The loved song was then recreated by Sachin-Jigar and Darshan Raval, which was again as big a hit as the original. Sachin-Jigar made a remake of this track for the movie ‘Best of Luck Laalu’ in 2017. In the same year Darshan Raval made an unexpected video song ‘Nayan Ne Bandh Rakhine’. The song earned a million views and is a must-have in every romantic Gujarati playlist.

'Vhalam Aavo Ne'

This teenage love song makes us remember our loved ones. The soulful number is sung by Jigardan Gadhvi and featured in the film ‘Love Ni Bhavai’. The video of ‘Vhalam Aavo Ne’ is all about a love triangle between RJ Antara and her two best friends, Aaditya and Sagar where she must choose one.

'Saibo' Gujarati version

This list would have been incomplete without the melodious duo ‘Sachin Jigar’. ‘Saibo’ was created for the first time on a TV show last year. Soon after it released, it became a sensational hit and its popularity has remained steady since then. It reached in every in Gujarati top songs lists as well as in channels and radio.

'Satrangi Re'

The romantic track by Arijit Singh and Dawn Cordo has everything to win your heart. The first ever Gujarati song by Arijit Singh has made us fall in love with his voice over and over again. ‘Satrangi Re’ from the movie ‘Wrong Side Raju’ was released in 2016. The song ‘Satrangi Re’ has become the love anthem of Gujarati cinema. As the name of the song suggests, it shows the different colors of true love in the song.

'Taari Ankh No Afini'

The evergreen song was originally sung in 1994 by Dilip Dholakia and penned by Purohit for the film ‘Divadandi’. It became so popular that the song was then sung by some 20 more artists in the history of Gujarati cinema. The love song for all generations has made its prominent place in Gujarati music industry. Well-known artists like Shaan, Sachin-Jigar and many others have also sung this epic track.

'Sanedo'

Can any Gujarati playlist be complete without a garba song? Sanedo basically means a folk drama form of Gujarat. The most famous Navratri song was first sung by Arvind Barot in 1980s and since then it became viral and is always played at Navratri and wedding parties. Later the song was brought to the mainstream by another famous artist Maniraj Barot. Sanedo is a folk art form in which it seems it combines singing and dialogues making it a unique fusion.
