D-Town celebrates the success of IGFF

The Gujarati film industry recently came together to celebrate the success of

International Gujarati Film Festival

that was organized in USA, the first ever film festival to have been organized by the members of the industry. With a number of prominent faces coming together to celebrate this success, the industry insiders shared their journey into the festival, their learnings and the way forward during the meet. And not just that, various artists were also felicitated for their contribution towards Gujarati films. While Krishnadev Yagnik was awarded the best director for Karsandas Pay & Use, Mayur Chauhan and Deeksha Joshi were given away the best actor and actress award for the same film. Best music award was awrded to Sachin Jigar for Love Ni Bhavai and icon of the year award to Malhar Thakar.

Talking about the honour, Mayur Chauhan, said, “I am really happy to receive the award. I am glad people in the USA loved the film and all the hard work the whole team had put in. This is a motivation to do better in the industry.”

Deeksha Joshi added, “I finally receive the award in my hand. It feels great to be associated with the industry and I hope IGFF gets more support and success with each passing year.”
