The conclusion of a 30-day workshop, Saroj, organised by
Subah-e-Banaras
committee was a cultural curry, with different aspects to it showcased. The participants of the workshop exhibited their skills they had learned during the workshops. As the performances began, a lot of excitement could be seen among the audience.
The evening kick-started with Ganga stuti followed by Ganesh vandana, which was enacted in a Bharatnatyam form by a group of youngsters. Next to follow was contemporary dance by toddlers, who performed on a medley of songs which included Taare Zameen Par, Itti Si Hasin and Dil Hai Chhota Sa, that led to a loud applause. “Inko dekh kar apne bachpan ke din yaad a gaye,” said

Participants of the classical music workshop also gave a group performance. Starting with a bhajan, Chalo Re Man Ganga Yamuna Teer, they also depicted the annoyance of Radha with Krishna in the dadra, Kaise Chalan Mag Roke.
A performance was also dedicated to the concept of Subah-e-Banaras that is a combination of five elements – earth, fire, air, water and space. The evening concluded with folk songs. The vibrancy of the songs made the audience also sing along.
