Origami exhibition held in the city

Art

lovers of Pune recently got an opportunity to witness skillfully made

origami

art pieces. Origami Mitra and Indutai Tilak Kala Kendra had organized a unique

exhibition

presenting simple to very complex origami pieces. The exhibition was held at Tilak Smarak Mandir.

The exhibition showcased the work of 30 to 35 origami artists from Pune and Mumbai. Various paper models such as

birds

,

animals

, vehicles, historical figures and other decorative pieces were exhibited, informed Swati Dharmadhikari, member, Origami Mitra Organization. Artworks by renowned writer and origami enthusiast Anil Awachat was also kept in this exhibition. The inauguration of the exhibition was done by Sudhakar Chavhan, former department head Abhinav College.
