Ratan Rajput adjusts to village life during #lockdown
Actress
Ratan has not revealed her identity in the village, but she has managed to get a room on rent till the lockdown is over. She has also arranged for some basic materials like a cooking stove, crockery and edible items to make her stay comfortable. Ratan said, “I believe that we all must try to adjust wherever we are, but we must not compromise. I have applied this motto in this village too. The rented room where I stay was in poor condition and so was the washroom. I did my best to make it suitable for my stay. I carry out all the household chores so that I don’t feel bored during the lockdown. It is tough, but I am enjoying my stay.”
For Ratan, this is a time to experiment with cooking with limited resources. She not only cooks healthy traditional dishes during this period, but also loves to sip masala tea in the evening. “I consume special masala tea everyday, which helps to boost my immunity. Its ingredients are pepper, ginger, clove, basil leaves, cinnamon, turmeric, cardamom, jiggery and lemon. I take two glasses of water and put it on stove for boiling. After a first boil, I add all the ingredients except lemon and jaggery. Once it boils for around five minutes, I add jaggery and lemon to it. I turn off the stove and strain my healthy tea in a glass.”
She also feels that in villages, people get fresh air, water and food. “I always love to spend time in a village. I love the fresh air, clean drinking water and fresh vegetables from the farm. Whenever I pay a visit to a village, I feel intense peace in and around me. I love the sound of chirping birds and rustling wind. There is something magical about the village areas,” she added.
The popular actress also shared a message for citizens. She said, “Our country has given us everything that we have today. Therefore, it is our duty to stand by the country when our nation needs us. We must try to follow the advice of our
She added, “We must not believe in the rumours spread by the anti-social elements of our society. I have received a message saying that this disease will not affect the poor because they are very rough and tough. I want to make it clear that the virus will not attack anyone on the basis of our economic status. Such people wait for weak moments to act and disturb those people who are already suffering. Therefore, we must not pay heed to such messages. Our government is actively updating us with accurate information. The only need of the hour is to do what is advised and stand together in this crisis.”
