Schools, colleges and private organisations organised events like poetry recitals,

KBH school had organised an exhibition where charts with information about Marathi literature were on display. Students from

sung a Marathi Abhiman song and also presented a skit showing the importance of the Marathi language.
At some schools, many poetry reading competitions were organised. The highlight of the day was Granth Dindi by Marathi department of Maharaja

Sayajirao Gaikwad College

, where students dressed in Maharastrian attire participated in Dindi (walk) followed by a poetry reading competition.
