Festivities galore

It’s the time of celebrations with Christmas just ending and the New Year knocking at the doors.
The festive spirit was further upped by Sachin Ahir, Maharashtra Housing Minister of State and his producer-wife Sangeeta Ahir under NGO Shree Sankalp Pratishthan as they successfully organised Worli Mahotsav 2011.
Horse-shows, a cricket-match (in which even Maharashtra Minister Jayant Patil played!) kids’ talents displays et al was the order of the day.Ahir himself dressed up as Santa Claus gave away gifts to kids. They also felicitated Govinda and Ajit Wadekar. The highlight of the festival that ended with Bal Utsav had 7-year old child prodigy tabla master from Puducherry Keshav Dahanukar who had performed at Delhi Commonwealth Games opening ceremony.
