At Tantra (TOI Photo)It is not everyday that we get to go out with a cricketer and we were more than glad when Bengal pacer Ranadeb Bose agreed to go with us for Starry Nights.
When we first walked into Someplace Else, Ranadeb looked visibly happy. After all SPE happens to be one of his favourite haunts in the city. I enjoy rock music and live bands.

And this place is special to me as SPE was the first place I frequented as a college
student, said the pacer. As he chatted with us, he also managed to catch up with a few of his friends, who too are regulars at the place.
As we moved into Tantra, Bose, got very nostalgic about his college days and informed, In those days, Tantra was like T20, very new and very hot. But I always came here in a group, as I had no girlfriend to accompany me. He moved to his favourite place hangout, the Bodhi Bar, where he tried out some colourful mocktails, to suit his mood. And while doing so, he kept an eye on the large screen where Shaun Marsh was putting up a brilliant show against Team Hyderabad and Bose was all praises for the Australian.
Our next stop was Underground. Inside the disc, what attracted the cricketer the most was the pool table and he was very eager to try his hand at a game of pool. And there was no stopping him.
A new game to him, he did manage to pocket a couple of balls. Next in, we headed for Venom. After trying some mixing at the DJ box, Ranadeb stepped out, enjoying the experience thoroughly.
Way beyond midnight, Ranadeb vouched that Kolkata definitely has
a nightlife to be proud of.
