Students feed the hungry on Holi

On the occasion of Holi,

Kolhapurians

consciously stuck to organic colour and ensured that they celebrated the festival by keeping it completely green and eco-friendly. The festival which also symbolises the victory of good over evil, saw

students

combating hunger by distributing food to the underprivileged. Spearheaded by activists, students of

Shivaji Maratha High School

, collected puran polis from the households, which they donated to the nearby NGO. The delicacy was distributed among workers working at the brick kiln in

Sudhakarjohi Nagar

and

Sambhajinagar

.
Over the last one decade, the students from the school have been carrying out the drive on Holi and ensuring that people don't go hungry on this day.
