Student participation infuses a new energy to Road Safety Week campaign

has been observing the week with huge participation from students from schools and colleges who took part in the rallies organised by the city traffic department and the regional office (RTO) Kolhapur. Mayor

Surmanjiri Latkar

inaugurated the rally that saw youths carrying placards and banners appealing to the people to follow traffic rules and avoid accidents, wearing helmets while riding motorcycles, avoiding jumping signals and overspeeding etc.
More than 1,000 students from various schools and colleges took part in the rally that began from

Bhavani Mandap

area at 8 am on Tuesday and concluded at Dasara Chowk before passing through major road in the city.
