R-Day celebrations in Kolhapur

. Several teams carried out parade marched which were followed by adventurous activities and other activities by police force. An R-Day invitation was extended to the public by District Collector Daulat Desai which resulted in a huge footfall of people attending the event.
An award ceremony was also held and the awards were given out to sportsperson, entrepreneurs and social workers by the guardian minister. A team of district officials worked on a list of people to be conferred with special awards who making a contribution towards the society. The celebrations was followed by Patil inaugurating the four centres that were serving Shivbhojan Thali for Rs 10 to the masses. Apart from the celebrations, several schools, government and private institutes had a flat hoisting ceremony.
