An awareness camp for road safety

Jawahar Shetkari Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Hupari, in association with Hupari Police Station, conducted a campaign to raise awareness on road safety. The awareness programme focused on the increasing accidents between tractors transporting sugarcane and trolley drivers. On this occasion, reflector banners were distributed to 300 vehicles transporting sugarcane. It also highlighted the importance of using appropriate headlight on tractors which can prevent accidents at night and around areas that are poorly lit.
Rajendra Maskhe Mahale, an inspector from Hupali Police Station said that one needs to be extremely alert and cautious when behind the wheels and must ensure that their vehicles have proper headlights. He further stressed that only following traffic rules can help save several lives on the roads. He also promised to extend immediate help and support to those injured in accidents.
