LGBTQ Celebrations: It’s a brave, new world for the queer community

Everything about the

LGBTQ

community was new on September 6, be it the first stride they took, the words they spoke or the way they looked at people, the society and more importantly at themselves, as the historic judgement decriminalising homosexuality was announced by the Supreme Court. The queer community across the cities of Kerala ushered in the spirit of a new dawn. According to them, their rainbow has become brighter than ever before, as the sunshine was finally on them, and the dark clouds are on the way out.
