Photography exhibition under the banner of Jaipur Tiger Festival attracts wildlife lovers
The on-going Tiger Photograph Exhibition at Jawahar Kala Kendra has been receiving appreciation from everyone. The 4-day exhibition has been organised by the Jaipur Tiger Festival in collaboration with the Forest Department of Rajasthan.
Rajsamand MP and member of National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) Diya Kumari also visited the exhibition. On this occasion, she praised the photographers and said that the photographs displayed here today reflect their passion for the tigers. These photographs are not the result of one day but the result of their years of hard works. Today we have all gathered to celebrate Tigers through this exhibition. Our Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has a vision to conserve and increase the number of Tigers in the country. Diya Kumari further said, "It is a matter of huge satisfaction that the number of tigers in the country has increased from 3167 to 3677. In an effort to increase the number of tiger reserves in Rajasthan, I am endeavouring towards making Kumbhalgarh a tiger reserve. We all have to make collective efforts towards this objective."

It may be noted that the tiger photography competition was organised by the Jaipur Tiger Festival. About 500 entries were received by wildlife photographs from India and abroad for display. The selection committee comprised of IFS Sudarshan Sharma and Rohit Gangwal, Founder of Raksha Sanstha, selected around 100 photographs from these entries, which are being displayed in the exhibition. JTF Founder, Dhirendra K Godha said that the photographs on display is an attempt to create awareness among the general public about our national animal Tiger. The number of tigers in Rajasthan has crossed 100. There are 4 tiger reserves in Rajasthan. After Ranthambore, Sariska, Mukandra in the state, a new tiger reserve has come up in Bundi, where three cubs have been born in the recent past. On this occasion, eminent wildlife filmmaker S. Nalla Muthu was also present.
