at Shri Brij Nidhiji temple in the city on Sunday morning. The event titled as

Morning Ragas with Manganiyars

left the audiences spellbound with the rendition of Krishna Bhajans.

Gazi Khan Barna played Khartaal, while Ghewar Khan played kmayacha with Firoz Khan and Talab Khan were on dholak and gave their vocals. The bhajans sang of Krishna birth, Shiva bhakti. Anwar Khan’s lyrics and his commitment to inter-faith worship, blended with Gazi Khan’s exceptional Sufi vocals and the complex play of khartaal-dholak, lend richness and depth to the group’s folk renditions. Supported by Rajasthan Forum, and Raghu Sinha Mala Mathur Charity Trust, an initiative of Siyahi, it is a monthly event series that rediscover the old traditions and the tranquil sanctuaries of old Jaipur city.
