Nad Sadhna - Institute for Indian Music & Research Centre in collaboration with the Jaipur Maharashtra Mandal, Jaipur organised a classical music concert under Baithak series on Monday at Krishnayan auditorium of Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur. The concert began with the sitar recital by Amruta Kulkarni followed by her presentation on “Bandish on instruments with special focus on sitar” where she spoke about different kinds of instrumental compositions with special reference to sitar bandish.
Bandish is a melodic composition in Hindustani vocal or instrumental music. Trained in sitar under the guidance of sitar maestro, Pt Arvind Parikh, Amruta is a talented sitar player from Itawah Imdadkhani Gharana. She is also a civil engineer.

He performed Natya Sangeet which is his speciality. From the Ustad Rajab Ali Khan’s lineage, he is an “A” grade artist by All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan (TV) and has performed in various national programmes as well as in abroad.
