Celebration of Freedom!
The monumental decision of scrapping Section 377 by Supreme Court, has let the rainbow flow freely on the streets of India. LGBTQI community members, allies, families and friends stepped out onto the renowned public places of the city to rejoice and celebrate their newfound freedom.

“We are not convicts anymore! After a long time we are realising the true meaning of Independence. Even though our country got freedom 72 years ago, some of us got it only yesterday. Now that we are free from the pressure of not being jailed for loving the way we do, we will plan out more awareness activities and go for advocacy. This is the beginning of new era, and we have to make the best of the opportunity.” – Swapnil Vilekar,

As allies of the community we too face a lot of oppression from those who think it is unnatural to have homosexual preferences.
