Hazra Park Durgotsab unveils 83rd year with tallest 30-Ft Durga idol

Hazra Park Durgotsab, inaugurated its 83rd year celebrations with the theme “Drishtikon”. The pandal has become the talk of the town with Kolkata’s tallest Durga idol, a spectacular 30-foot creation that blends tradition with artistic imagination.
This year’s concept, designed by noted artist Biman Saha, explores colour as a powerful language of self-expression. The pandal and idol portray how each hue tells a story, revealing emotions, philosophies, and fragments of human thought.

Speaking on the occasion, Sayan Deb Chatterjee, Joint Secretary of the club said, “Colour is not just an ornament to the world – it is its heartbeat. With Drishtikon, we want people to see how colour shapes not just the Goddess’s form but also our way of thinking. Every shade tells a story.”
Hazra Park Durgotsab 2025 is now open to visitors, promising a breathtaking blend of tradition, innovation, and artistry where every hue celebrates life.
