Club Cadenza, the music club of Don Bosco College, Panaji had a harmonious start on September 25. The inaugural marked the beginning of the music club activities. To prepare the students for the future events, Club Cadenza organized a guidance session on conquering stage fear and performance anxiety. Asst Prof Archie Fernandes, the head of Club Cadenza began the session on a lighter note by telling the students on how the music club was formed out of the students’ aspiration to form a college band and pursue their interest in music. He also encouraged the students to bring new members to the club and learn new skills. He then told the students about his own musical journey. He said, “Stage fright and performance anxiety is often caused due to overthinking.” This can be overcome gradually by following proper habits such as having consistent practice time and a planned schedule. He also highlighted the importance of proper posture for young musicians.

The head of Club Cadenza ended the session by telling the students to let go of expectations and focus on their love for music. He encouraged the students to find the song they love and try to sing it. The session was attended by the members of the music club.
