When honchos from corporate organisations came together to sing at Genesis Foundation’s fundraising programme recently, they regaled the audience and also generated funds for underprivileged children suffering from deadly diseases. Niren Chaudhary, MD of a popular chain of restaurants, said, “It’s our privilege to lead a cause for children, while entertaining all with our songs.”
HUM Honchos: As the nine CEOs and MDs crooned some Hindi and English numbers, they proved their musical ability besides their number crunching skills.
The do started with Shireesh Joshi of a cellular company taking to the stage and he was accompanied by his wife Priti.
Chaudhary’s Knocking On Heaven’s Door and Suresh Bhojwani’s You Are Just Too Good To Be True were mesmerising. After several English numbers, Vikas Gupta, CEO of a wine company, brought Bollywood back to the limelight with his rendition of Ek Din Bik Jayega, Maati Ke Mol and the response was thunderous.
Bid for A Cause: But, it was Ashwin Deo’s singing skills for whom bidders yelled the most. Host Prema Sagar of the foundation was seen ensuring a good time for the guests. Former Miss India
Parvathy Omanakuttan conducted the event with elan, with a touch of humour and wit too. Finally, it was time for the host and guests to indulge in some culinary delight and conversation. Besides tasting the food, they were also seen exchanging visiting cards. After all, which corporate event is complete without a bit of networking?
