The kickstart of the festive season is also shopping time for many and some well-known designers from the fashion fraternity presented what’s in this festive season.

While designer Anupama Dayal presented a collection fit for any beach vacation, Charu Parashar’s show was a mix of casual and pre-bridal designs. Here’s a recap of day one of DTFW.
Bright, breezy and beach perfect

Anupama Dayal

After a gap of almost four years, Anupama Dayal did a ramp show and it had to be special! The show was a splash of colours on ramp with models donning bright pink, green, purple and blue printed kaftan dresses. With a mix of geometric patterns and floral prints, the collection was perfect for beach vacations.
When asked about her collection, the designer said, “Since I was doing this show after some gap I wanted to send across a message to all women through this collection. I wanted to tell them to feel good, free and healthy from within. That’s why there were so many bright shades with a hint of yellow in every design.” The designer showcased at DTFW for the second time and said that “it was great to be back here and I was looking forward to this electrifying experience of being backstage for the show preps.”

Dazzling affair

NGE e-MOBILITY

Along with sequined monochrome gowns and cocktail dresses, the highlight of the second show was a model riding a two-wheeler on the ramp.
The show by NGE e-MOBILITY was conceptualised to introduce a range of two-wheelers. From crystal studded tops and corsets to embellished gowns and dresses, most designs were for red carpet occasions. “This range of two-wheelers is for youngsters and what better than a fashion show to attract them and introduce our brand. We had a great experience at DTFW and the entire team worked hard to put together this show,” said Piyush Dwivedi from NGE e-MOBILITY.
A glitzy affair

Danj presents Charu Parashar

Prints have always been an important part of Charu Parashar’s collection and this time the designer combined prints with intricate embroidery. From printed co-ords to lehengas, there was an interesting range in designs. The show began with comfy flowy outfits and sequined saris, pants and short kurtas were presented towards the end. The designer shared that the collection was inspired by her travel to Spain. “From prints to embroidered motifs, I have used elements I noticed while travelling to Spain. I used Indian colours and every garment was hand embroidered in the collection,” said Charu.
The designer showcased at DTFW after almost a year and said that “it is always amazing to be here and I have always said that it is a great platform for designers.”
