After a career in flying to acting, Nancy Gill is eyeing Punjabi films

Chandigarh girl Nancy Gill who gave up her air hostess career for the love of her life, acting, says that she is now head on into pursuing her passion. Nany has also done Hindi TV shows like Chidiyaghar, Shubh Mangal Mein Dangal besides music videos. Excerpts from a conversation with her.
What made you give up your flying career for acting?
Flying was never my life career choice, in fact I started flying because beside doing theatre and plays during college festivals I couldn't take up acting as a career choice because of family constraints.So, flying at that time happened by choice since my mother filled up the form and I got the interview call, which I cleared and was selected. I kept flying because one, it gave me the opportunity to travel across the world and two, it gave me enough possibilities to save up money to follow my dream of acting and help me during the initial phase of looking out for work. As soon as I felt I can give up flying, I did and started looking for acting jobs .
Since you are from Chandigarh, any plans for Punjabi films?
Yes , if any opportunities comes my ways I will be very happy to do a Punjabi film as it is the culture I understand from core . In fact , I recently auditioned for a Punjabi film, but let’s see what future has in plan for me in Punjabi industry.
Any more TV shows you have signed? If not, why?
I have just finished shooting for a web show and apart from it as of now I am not actively looking or auditioning for the next one because I like to train myself and learn the craft doing carpus workshops, coursed and theatre productions. I am going to be training under a Greek veteran theatre master for the whole of next month in Athens, Greece on the nuances of Voice and Body in acting, which happens once in a year . I applied for it in December and qualified for it and am very excited to be a part of it and I thoroughly am looking forward to learn new tangents of my craft through it.
What about Bollywood? Any film in the offing?
As of now , there are no films in the kitty but definitely I am auditions actively for them . Once I am back from my training , I shall start looking for working and auditioning for films too again
