Dressed in an earthy ethnic ensemble complemented by a sweet smile was Lina Asher as she ushered you to her brunch on Sunday. Sharmilla Thackeray was seen in one corner, enraptured by the drool jewels on display, as was Rouble Nagi. Niharika Khan was heard talking about her many tattoos, most of them with wings since she has a fascination for them.
Babita Malkani was excited about her new venture. Anaida had Paris Hilton on her back it was a little backpack and she excused herself saying she had a headache after spending all morning on work in the burbs.
Lubna Adams opted for a black top (in the October heat!) but her colourful skirt offset it just fine. She refused a glass of champagne, saying she does not drink. Breezing in and out was Shaina NC while Chef Max caught up with Henry Tham and Kishore Bajaj. Baba Siddiqui was also there, sporting designer shades that made him look like a Bollywood star.
Late arrivals (perhaps they thought it was a high tea soiree and not a brunch) were Vikas Bhalla and wife Punita and Reshma Bombaywala.
SON RISE: The focus of attention was on Lina Asher’s son Dhrish whom people recognised as the young lad who acted with Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham in a cola commercial.
