Bibliophiles unlock happiness at 'Lock the Box'

Imagine a hall full of books and all for free. Sounds unreal right? In a recent event

Lock the Box

conducted by

Bookchor

, a portal to buy second-hand books saw the crowd in huge numbers at Manas Bhawan. It was a book lover’s haven as one could see people carrying boxes full of books. Lock the box is a new deal started by Bookchor. It provides the book aficionados with three sizes of the box, one pays according to your size and then fills as many books as the box can accommodate. Many readers of the city were seen taking full advantage of the deal and the opportunity. It is a three-day event where a variety of books is available from cookery books to children books to classics. People of all age groups shopped and took their boxes packed with books of their interest.

People took days off to be able to come to the event and grab the opportunity, “ Ï have taken a day off from college to be able to come to this event. I have bought the biggest box and can't decide which one not to take.”- Shares Ayushi Mittal.

While some enjoyed the

book fair

the others thought it could have been a little more systematic looking at the number of books available. Gitali Mehra an educationist shares with us her views after shopping at the event, “It is a very nice effort by Bookchor, a lot of variety of books is available but I feel it should have been a little more systematic so that we could refer a list of books available and find the one that we want easily. For now, one needs to search a lot for the books that they actually want.”
