, Rasraj Smaran, to pay musical homage to
Pandit Jasraj
from 6.30 pm on Sunday.
Some of the names participating and paying tribute include Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Dr. L Subramaniam,
Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma
, Begum Parveen Sultana,
Sonal Mansingh
, Vikku Vinayakram, Pandit Rajan and Pandir Sajan Mishra, Vid. Sudha Raghunathan, Pt. Rattan Mohan Sharma, and Vid. Madhavi Mudgal will offer their homage to Pandit Jasraj through their music, dance, or their words. Governor of India, Ravi Shankar Prasad and Shri Arun Bharat Ram will also be paying their homage to late Pandit Jasraj at the global concert
Legendary classical music vocalist Pandit Jasraj passed away . The legend succumbed to a cardiac arrest. With a career spanning over more than seven decades, Pandit Jasraj was a recipient of various prestigious awards and honours including
Padma Shri,
Padma Bhushan, and Padma Vibhushan.
