Film festivals are fun!

And to kick off the event, filmmaker Murliladhar Halappa and wife Kalpana hosted a cocktail party for all their filmi buddies. We saw Tara and hubby Venu make an early entry and settle in a cosy corner with some orange juice."I’m on a diet, so nothing but fruits for me," Tara told us. Ramesh Aravind came in next, followed by Jayamala and B Saroja Devi. Producer K Manju came in late but quickly settled down with friends and indulged in some Gandhinagar gupshup. BT also spotted Malayali National Award winning filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan, Hema Chaudhary, Kavitha Lankesh, Srinivasmurthy, Dattatreya and Girish Kasaravalli. The food was a huge hit, especially the south-Indian food ‘nothing better than rice, rasam and kosambri on a chilly evening,’ we heard someone say.
