Music and dance festival kick-started in Aurangabad

Aurangabadkars were transported to the 13th century’s art and culture with plethora of music and dance spread across morning and evening session. The music and dance event Sarngadeva saw music and dance dignitaries from various parts of the world present their art before Aurangabadkars.

The event, organised by

MAHAGAMI

, aimed to re-connect with the glorious cultural past of Sarngadeva an Indian musicologist who composed his work in what is now called Aurangabad. Thus, to establish the relevance of the text with present-day performing arts, the festival catered to the artistic and academic buffs.

art traditions - rituality and inter-textuality by Dr. P. J. Mahanta from Guwahati was also an important highlight.
