Mangalagaur celebration gets a patriotic twist

Sometimes governmental discussions influence us and the ladies of Janaki Group in Aurangabad did just that, but in a creative manner. They made the most of the decision on Section 370 in Kashmir as their feeling of patriotism was included in Mangala Gaur festivities. In the Mangalagaur celebration, Maharashtrian women come together and play various games with each other after the Mangalagaur pooja that is performed by a married woman in the month of Shravan.So for this celebration the group introduced patriotic songs and poems. They also celebrated the decision. Held at Abhinandan Hall in the city, the married ladies dressed in traditional Maharashtrian outfits and donning the nath, celebrated the day with great pomp and show.
