City bids adieu to Ganpati Bappa after the 10-day festivity

The ten-day festivity of Ganeshotsav brings joys and happiness for all. Cities across the state don themselves in festive colour and Ganesha idols are welcomed with granduer. With a grand welcome, Ganesh devotees also ensure the Lord gets a grand farewell too. Dhol-Tasha, lejhim troops and traditional games marked the Ganpati immersion procession in the city on Sunday.Many pandals in the city replaced DJ sound systems and replaced with traditional instruments. Many mandals even had folk performances and laser shows as a part of their procession. The palkhis were decorated beautifully where the Lord was kept. The visarjan procession went on for hours that started in the morning and went on late till night and devotes were seen dancing to the dhol tunes. Many of them gave out social messages though their street plays during the immersion procession.
