Maharaj's birth anniversary, Aurangabadkars came together to celebrate the warrior king Shivaji's birthday on Tuesday. Taking to the streets, women dressed in traditional

navari sarees

and nath along with

saffron

pheta, drove on the streets of Aurangabad. Painting the streets saffron, the ladies screamed the name of Shivaji Maharaj and glories of him. Not just that, there were rangolis drawn at every nook and corner, to mark the celebrations. Amidst dhol-tasha, live dekhavas and chittatharak katha, the enthusiasm was at its peak and people thronged to celebrate the day. The city had truly turned colourful.
