An industrial visit to learn about fertilisers

Swarnim Institute of Technology's Mechanical and automobile branch from Swarnin Startup and Innovation University organised an industrial visit to

IFFCO

in Kalol recently.
Around 65 students and two professors from the mechanical and automobile branch participated in the industrial visit. The main aim of this industrial visit was to gain knowledge about the technicalities related to bio

fertiliser

's field area and control room.
During the visit the students also learnt about field tower, control valve, measuring instruments, magnetic floor meter, DCS and PLC. They also learnt how ammonia free fertiliser is made in the IFFCO plant by processing hydrogen and nitrogen.
IFFO (Indian Farmer Fertiliser Co-Operative Limited) is India's largest co-operatives today and though it started with just making fertilisers today IFFO has ventured into Insurance and rural telecom.
