National Economics Festival

organised by Department of Economics, St Xavier’s College Ahmedabad.
The seminar was based on new age learning processes to make it interesting for the younger generation. The keynote speaker, Chinmay Tumbe who is an assistant professor at

IIM Ahmedabad

, discussed extensively upon migration and its impact upon nation's infrastructure and economy in general.

Gautam Patel

, who is a financial and legal expert and has been a PPP ( Purchasing Power Parity) consultant for Sabarmati Riverfront project and

BRTS

projects in Gujarat, was also present in the seminar. He talked about transportation infrastructure and merits of promoting public transportation infrastructure.

RG Nambiyar, professor at Flames University Pune, talked about the most promising sector i.e. the service sector and how government should help the sector grow. Dr Umesh Menon, who is a management consultant and who has worked as an international consultant in various UN projects, in his speech talked about the role of MSME in nation's development and growth.

The last speech was given by Poornima Verma who is also an assistant professor at IIM Ahmedabad. She talked about agricultural Infrastructure and the role government plays in helping agriculture sector to develop.

The event was concluded by an engaging Q&A session
