The band, led by singer Chris Martin, reportedly set a new record for the biggest concert in the country, drawing an estimated 1.34 lakh fans to their gig in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Interestingly, this beats the previous records held by Diljit Dosanjh and Justin Bieber, whose concerts drew 50,000 attendees each.

Coldplay performed live for five concerts in India due to popular demand and sold-out shows. As part of their tour, the band performed three shows in Mumbai and followed it up with two back-to-back performances in Ahmedabad. Their final show on January 28 marked the first time a ticketed concert in India crossed the one-lakh milestone.

This also became one of the band's biggest shows, surpassing their previous record of 83,000 attendees at a Sydney show.

The final gig, which was streamed LIVE on OTT platform Disney+Hotstar, also recorded a huge viewership of an impressive 83 lakh views and 16.5 crore minutes of watch time.
