Taylor Swift and Blake Lively’s friendship reportedly strained over super bowl snub

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively, once known for their close friendship, may no longer be as tight as before. According to a report by TMZ, Blake is not on Taylor’s guest list for the upcoming Super Bowl, where Swift will be cheering on her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. This apparent snub has fueled speculation that their friendship has taken a hit.

Reports further suggest that Taylor was upset after a private text conversation surfaced, in which Blake compared herself to Khaleesi (a reference to Game of Thrones) and referred to her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and Taylor as her “dragons.” This reportedly did not sit well with Taylor, who never saw herself in such a role within their friendship.

Adding to the tension, Blake allegedly tried to use Taylor’s name in a dispute with actor Justin Baldoni over a film script. Sources claim that Blake attempted to make it seem as though Taylor was siding with her, even though Swift had no involvement in the disagreement.

According to TMZ, Taylor unknowingly walked into a meeting at Blake’s penthouse, where Baldoni had just finished discussing a project with Lively. Swift reportedly had no idea about the discussion and only greeted Justin briefly, expressing excitement for his movie. However, later on, she discovered that Blake had been name-dropping her in conversations, which reportedly did not sit well with the singer.

While sources close to Taylor suggest that she remains upset, Blake reportedly believes there is no real issue between them. She has allegedly told friends that they worked through any misunderstanding, sharing an emotional moment where they cried and hugged it out. However, insiders claim that while Blake might think everything is fine, Taylor is still holding onto some hard feelings about the situation.

For now, it seems Taylor and Blake are keeping their distance. Swift has been spending much of her time with Kelce and hasn’t been in New York recently, which naturally limits their interactions. However, those close to the situation insist that the distance between them is not just physical—it reflects a real strain in their friendship.

As of now, Taylor has not publicly commented on the situation, and Blake also appears to be moving forward as usual. Whether their bond will fully recover remains uncertain, but for now, it looks like Blake won’t be in Taylor’s luxury suite at the Super Bowl
