Mahjong Soul Game collaboration begins on November 15; watch the promo video

The official YouTube channel for the free-to-play mahjong game Mahjong Soul, developed by Yostar, has released a promotional anime video for its collaboration with Prisma Illya. The video was animated by SILVER LINK. This collaboration is set to kick off on November 15 and will continue until December 6.

The game, Mahjong Soul, was originally developed by the Chinese game company Cat Food Studio and launched in China back in 2018. Yostar brought it to Japan as a web browser game in April 2019, and it's now available as a mobile app for both iOS and Android devices. The game follows a free-to-play model, but players have the option to enhance their avatar characters and accessories through microtransactions.

In addition to the game, there's also an anime adaptation called ‘Jong-Tama Pong,’ which features comical shorts and is based on Cat Food Studio and Yostar's Mahjong Soul. This anime premiered in April 2022.
‘Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya,’ which is a separate anime and manga series. It's set in an alternate universe of the ‘Fate/stay night’ world, where the character Illyasviel von Einzbern becomes a magical girl. The series has been around for quite some time and has had numerous manga adaptations. The latest one resumed in June and is heading towards its climax.
